Taiyo Europe: Crafting Timeless Elegance at Goodwood, Where Innovation Meets Tradition
Nestled within the expansive 12,000-acre Goodwood Estate, under the stewardship of the Duke of Richmond's family, lies the illustrious Goodwood Racecourse. Beyond the renowned horseracing track, this estate boasts a diverse array of amenities, including a motor circuit, hotel, golf course, and a sought-after wedding venue.
Stepping into the realm of architectural refinement, Taiyo Europe, Birdair's sister company, undertook a pivotal role in enhancing this prestigious locale. Specifically, the company was entrusted with the design, fabrication, and installation of the PVC membrane and stainless steel cables for the new Champagne Bar Canopy. This elegant addition, the fifth of its kind, mirrors the design of four previously crafted canopies by TMC & Birdair in 2001, gracefully enveloping the main stand of the horseracing track.
Under the supervision of RW Armstrong & Sons Ltd., Taiyo Europe collaborated seamlessly with Hopkins Architects to bring this vision to life. The result is a 300 square meters canopy, adorned with Mehler VALMEX® FR 900 MEHATOP N – Type II PVC material, adding a touch of sophistication to the Goodwood Racecourse's ambiance. This architectural marvel not only pays homage to the estate's rich legacy but also stands as a testament to the synergy between modern design and timeless elegance.
