UF's School of Architecture Receives New PVC Mesh Vertical Facade Panels Over Existing Brick Building
As part of a retrofit process at the existing School of Architecture at the University of Florida, portions of the exterior brick was renovated with new PVC Mesh facade panels designed and built by the Birdair team. There are a total of 5 different locations of panels as well as a small ETFE single layer skylight panel. The total combined surface area of all the tensile membrane facade panels is approximately 3,600 sq.ft. Featuring a aluminum framed support system, the dark colored PVC mesh was selected to blend in nicely with the existing brick building structure.
